The Future Food Movement CPD-certified 6-week Accelerator Programme is a powerful learning experience that:

The programme is delivered through a series of 6 masterclasses (up to 2 hours each) and 4 on demand bitesize Lunch & Learns. A welcome session to share thoughts on the current climate crisis, disruptions in the food industry and the purpose of the Future Food Movement. An intro to meet the team and the other members of your cohort and a chance to share individual learning objectives and to set the scene on the need for leadership upskilling and collaboration in the food industry.

A CPD certified 2 hour masterclass to get under the skin of what Net Zero means and explore climate from the top down to identify root causes and solutions before diving into the context of the food sector to learn the actions needed to deliver transformative change and a Net Zero future. HUMAN RIGHTS

What are Human Rights and how do they link to the global SDGs and wider society? The masterclass offers a deeper dive into why it matters to individuals, businesses and society, with a focus particularly on food industry specific issues where a healthy planet supports healthy people. We will discuss how businesses can strengthen their Human Rights performance and what best practice in this area looks like to help accelerate a fair and just net zero food system transformation.

REGENERATIVE AGRICULTURE

How we produce and source food matters. Regenerative agriculture leads to healthy soil working with nature, capable of producing high quality, nutrient dense food while simultaneously improving, rather than degrading land, and ultimately leading to productive farms and healthy communities and economies.

OPTIONAL ADD ON: SUSTAINABLE DIETS (Company bookings only)

Showcases how business leaders can create a positive impact by transitioning to more sustainable diets and ingredient sourcing, including the chance to explore what constitutes a sustainable diet and steps to how reduce one’s “food print” while still honouring culture, access, and personal dietary preferences. Strategies include realistic ways to move towards more minimally processed plant-forward diets, less but better meat, source more sustainably grown foods (including seafood), minimise plastic use and reduce food waste all of which can support personal and planetary health.

Explores the environmental impact of food waste as part of the net zero transition of the food system. Covers key concerns such carbon, water, land-use change and how this translates into global regulatory and commercial policy commitments such as Sustainable Development Goal/SDG 12.3, Net Zero and Science-Based Targets Initiative (SBTI).
