Insights from our Accelerator Programme

Insights from our Accelerator Programme

Over the last six weeks, participants from Future Food Movement’s latest CPD-certified Accelerator programme have been busy developing their climate skills, gaining powerful knowledge and building valuable connections with others in the food industry.

We’ve had some fantastic feedback from our latest cohort, with participants acknowledging the importance of empowerment through learning and community collaboration in their journeys to becoming #missionaligned.

Here are 5 key takeaways on recent participants found the programme.

1. A real education piece

Accelerator participants found the programme full of useful climate upskilling and ESG information, stimulating their thinking and motivation to take climate action. Each participant highlights a different course they found most useful for them.

That was a real education piece from Charlie about the importance of soil, so that's the one that sticks to mind most. Human Rights was really good as well.

2. packed full of info

Accelerators found the programme “packed full of info”. The participants praised each coach’s great level of detail around their specialised topic. Pre-reads are given for each session, including practical information to take away to the business and real-life examples of what good looks like.

Really enjoyed it, found the sessions a good level of detail versus not too much detail and plenty of options for us to go and look at more information if we wanted to.

3. Makes you eager to learn more

No matter if participants know a lot about sustainability, or nothing at all, the Accelerator programme makes them want to learn more, and more, and more!

The Accelerator made me realise what I do know and more so, what I don't know. Plus, the complexity that's out there, but in a good way, in terms of an eagerness to learn more and become more competent.

4. Fills in the blanks

Our Accelerator is tailored to fit anyone in the food industry, from those who have no sustainability knowledge and are starting their climate journey to those who are sustainability experts and want to fill the gaps.

I'm already doing a sustainability master. So I saw this as an opportunity to kind of fill in the blanks from the course I'm doing at the moment.

Bord Bia

It's definitely given me deeper knowledge in some of my gaps.

5. Relevant content

We have tailored our content to fit a food industry audience. The Accelerator empowers food industry professionals with the climate knowledge and confidence they need to take climate action in the food industry.

Both the content and the level of information was really good, thoroughly enjoyed it. Really relevant for us.
