The Nature Stripes: reminder to act now to save our nature

Following the climate stripes, the nature stripes have landed. A powerful graphic that represents how nature has been depleted by climate change.

Another reminder that we need to act now to reverse the loss of biodiversity and bend the 1.5℃ curve.

The UK food industry has a big part to play, with the UK being one of the most nature-depleted countries in the world, and more than 70% of UK land given over to farming.

Meanwhile, agriculture is responsible for around 10% of all UK emissions.

We encourage everyone in the food industry to watch Save our Wild Isles’ short film ‘Hungry for Change’: which shows how the production and consumption of food is the biggest driver of nature loss and a significant contributor to climate change. Please watch and share with your network.
