Taking stock of youth priorities, key challenges and solutions at the Expert Group Meeting for SDG2

“Ahead of the 2024 UN High Level Political Forum (HLPF) this summer, the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN-DESA) in collaboration with relevant UN system partners, are co-organizing a series of Expert Group Meetings for the SDGs, convening ‘expert’ stakeholders from the UN, the private sector, academia, and civil society, to review progress on commitments made on the Sustainable Development Goals since these SDGs were reviewed at last year’s HLPF.

As a youth advocate for sustainable food systems, it was a privilege to be selected to attend the Expert Group Meeting co-organized by UN-DESA and the Food and Agricultural Organization on Sustainable Development Goal 2: Zero Hunger in Rome on March 26-27th, where I was representing the UN Major Group for Children and Youth, Sendai, and Act4Food.”
