Update On Propositions in The Right Direction
Charlie explained the significant opportunity for innovation within the current inefficient system, where too much food is made, consumed, and wasted. She recently launched propositions that support the shift in consumer diets, using examples of brands and new products that are moving in the direction of Net Zero.
The Propositions We Are Looking For
Protein diversification and better meat and dairy
Charlie highlighted the emphasis on promoting the protein content of products to reassure individuals that their nutritional needs are being met, encouraging them to explore more sustainable recipes and new ranges.
Smug: The range combines dairy and oats to offer consumers a healthier, more sustainable way of consuming dairy without compromising on taste.
The Wild Hare Group:The Wild Hare Group sources from farms that manage land and animals regeneratively, focusing on metrics like carbon and methane emissions and grazing habits, labelling these measures on the front of the pack.
Chef Select (Lidl): High-protein ready meals incorporating a blend of animal protein with plant-based sources.
