Bio

Philip has worked in corporate communications in food and agriculture for more than 23 years. He founded Twig (then Reverberate) in 2007, and for nearly two decades this specialist strategic communications agency has empowered farming and food clients to communicate with clarity, consistency and purpose.

Under Philip’s leadership, Twig is a Certified B Corporation, recognised for delivering impactful communications rooted in a deep understanding of industry stakeholders. He is particularly focused on how the industry can build trust – within supply chains and with consumers - as he sees this as the foundation for long-term sustainable transformation.

Philip has a BSc (Hons) in Agriculture and his wife is a dairy farmer, reflecting his strong connection to the industry he serves. He is also a Chartered Practitioner of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations and a Professional Fellow of the Institute of Agricultural Management

Philip supports FFM’s mission because he has worked in the food industry his whole life, is married to a dairy farmer, and both of their children work in the farming sector, so the success of the agriculture and food sector is important to him personally.

Building resilient food systems is critical to everyone – from climate resilience to health eating, from food security to sustainability. We face massive change and change is never easy. Effective communication that builds trust is essential to delivering that change, and that’s where Phil comes in – for more than two decades he has worked in strategic communications in food and agriculture, specialising in farmer engagement and trust building, with a particular focus on change and sustainability. Being part of the Future Food Movement is important to him, as he believes we’ll only solve the challenges we face through effective collaboration.
