Dr Ceris is the NFU’s climate change adviser. She worked in agricultural and environmental research before joining the NFU where her work covers adaptation, mitigation and greenhouse gas accounting. She is the facilitator of the climate change working group of the World Farmers Organisation and is the focal point for the UNFCCC Farmers constituency in the international climate negotiations process. She was chair of the Climate Change Committee’s Agriculture Advisory Group and sat on the advisory panel for the UK citizens’ assembly on climate change. She is a member of the Food Data Transparency Partnership Eco Working Group and sits on the steering group for the LED 4 Food research project to enhance the quality and availability of standardised environmental impact data for the UK food system.
