Professor Charlotte Hardman is a Professor of Psychology of Eating Behaviour in the Department of Psychology, Institute of Population Health, at the University of Liverpool. Charlotte leads a programme of research on the psychology of food-related behaviours. Recent work is focusing on tackling dietary inequalities, and co-creating a healthy, sustainable and more equitable food system. Charlotte has received competitive research funding from major funders including UKRI and the European Commission and has published more than 90 peer-reviewed articles in international scientific journals. Charlotte is a founding member of the Liverpool Food Growers Network, a trustee of Feeding Liverpool, and a member of the Food Standards Agency’s Advisory Committee on Social Sciences.
Charlotte leads FIO Food Work Package 1, which aims to co-design supermarket-based interventions that support people living with obesity and food insecurity to acquire healthy & sustainable food.
